My name is Maureen Viana. I am the wife of Dr. Paulo Viana, and we have owned Viana Dental for over 18 years. I am proud to say that not only do we run a business in Kilworth, but we also live in this wonderful community and have raised our two children, Braedan and Ethan, here.

I was born in the Toronto area to parents I never had the chance to know — my father was of Italian descent, and my mother was of British descent. I was placed for adoption at a very young age and was fortunate to be welcomed into a family in London, ON, around the age of six. Growing up there, I had a wonderful upbringing. I was always involved in sports, and education was highly valued, as my adoptive mother was a teacher in London.

As I entered high school, I was drawn to the dental field, initially working as a dental assistant for several years. My passion for dentistry grew, leading me to become a dental hygienist. It was around this time that I met Paulo. We fell in love and decided to get married.

After graduating as a dental hygienist, I furthered my education by completing the Restorative Dental Hygiene program, which enables me to provide comprehensive care to my patients. This specialization allows me to perform expanded duties, complementing basic hygiene care with orthodontic and braces care for both children and adults.

Like my husband, I believe quality dental care should be accessible and affordable for everyone. I am committed to ensuring that every patient has the right to make informed choices about their care. I truly love what I do and am thankful to this community for supporting us in our work.
